Where to Stay

Enjoy Life in Vang Vieng at Maylyn’s Guest House

October 24, 2015

Vang Vieng has always been a popular destination for backpackers.  Rightfully so, with its gorgeous mountains and dirt paths that lead to caves and lagoons.  Aside from the tubing and the hundreds of sights to explore, there is one great place to stay called Maylyn’s Guest House.

Right when you walk in you immediately feel a friendly vibe that makes you feel welcome.  With separate bunglaows, Maylyn’s has a wide range of rooms from modern to rustic all set in a quiet setting with sweeping views. I opted for the more expensive, which had a hot water shower and a big luxurious bed. All rooms have a porch, many with views of the karst mountains.

With cheap rooms available, Maylyn’s is highly recommended to budget and solo travelers, as they have rooms to meet all budgets and a friendly, social atmosphere. They also serve delicious food to enjoy while relaxing from a day of sight-seeing.  Be sure to order the mulberry pancake and mulberry shake!

Prices range from $4 to $12 for private rooms and bungalows.
