Location
The Angsana Laguna Phuket is located on the North West of the island, only 20 minutes from the airport and is part of Laguna Phuket, which spreads over 1000 acres of parkland. The hotel is situated not only in the Laguna area with seven other hotels, numerous restaurants and bars, a golf club and residences but also by Bang Tao beach, one of the most extensive beaches on the island.
Swimming Pool
Because one pool is not enough, the hotel features 3! The main swimming pool is a long, river-like pool snaking around the resort, where you’ll find numerous sunbeds spread all over it. Some rooms and the bar have direct access to this pool, and I’ve found this concept excellent since it never feels crowded. There is also a beach-type pool with a sandy floor, volleyball nets and goals next to the pool bar. And the third pool is located at Xana Beach Club, right by the beach with incredible sea views.
Angsana Phuket Spa
Hands down the best Spa ever: we were received by their lovely staff and a delicious welcome drink. Angsana Phuket Spa has an extensive menu: I opted for the Balinese massage and couldn’t ask for anything better! The therapy rooms were very calm and relaxing, and the ladies were very knowledgeable about each treatment.
Water Sports
Angsana Laguna Phuket is built around a lagoon, so there are numerous water activities both here and on the beach: from kayaking and paddle boarding to peddle boats; having fun is totally up to you.
Room
Our room, Laguna Premier, was very spacious, offering incredible views over one of the swimming pools and he lagoon. The bed was very comfortable, and our balcony faced the beach grating, the best place to enjoy the sunset.
Angsana Phuket Restaurants
Atoll
Playfully floating in the heart of the lagoon, ATOLL features gorgeous views combined with colourful & delicious cocktails and contemporary chic cuisine designed to appeal to your inner style. You just have to take a short free boat ride from Laguna Beach or Angsana Lobby to access this place. Atoll is undoubtedly a charismatic place to sip some cocktails while enjoying the sunset. And I highly recommend you to stay here for dinner on a Saturday night: you get the chance to enjoy their delicious food, and they also present a fly board show that will pour you a glass of champagne.
Poolside
Is there any better place to have a picnic other than by the lagoon? The Poolside serves fresh juices, delicious treats, and unique cocktails for those looking for a more substantial bite. If interested, you can request a picnic basket to make your light lunch even cuter and more exciting: at the restaurant or in the hotel gardens. For those who want to stay cool and enjoy a refreshment at the same time, you can always go for their swim-up bar
Xana Beach Club
A flurry of activity day and night, Xana Beach Club was our favourite spot to enjoy the sunset while sipping some cocktails at the beach. Here you can find live entertainment, good music and a variety of tapas, European food, Thai dishes, Mediterranean delights and a satisfyingly lengthy wine and cocktail selection.
Breakfast
Angsana Phuket breakfast is served in two different locations: Bodega and Market Place. We had the chance to try both, and I must say the selection is huge! Plenty of fruit, cereals, pancakes, bread, pastries and cakes, Thai food, hot cooked breakfast and an egg station. You will be absolutely spoilt for choice. Pro tip: For the best breakfast view, pick a table by the swimming pool at Bodega or the terrace seating looking out over the lagoon at the Market Place.
Verdict
Angsana Laguna Phuket is an incredible hotel with a pristine location and many activities available, making it perfect for family holidays. We had a fantastic time here and look forward to returning soon.
